It can be one of the toughest things to do (usually because of procrastination or being rushed). But there’s a thing that impresses clients a lot, and it’s being (overly) prepared.
Whether you’re doing a phone call, having a meeting, sharing ideas, or performing the big pitch, be more prepared than you need to be, always.
This means print outs (well mounted), creative built into situations (like on a website or billboard or t-shirt), background reading (like something your client’s been mentioning lately), memorized facts and stats (stuff that directly relates to your client’s business), videos, laptop, projector… whatever. Just make a point to show up with more rather than less.
